Current status:  No power. Phone works. Internet withdrawal symptoms gone.

Time without power: 4 days 10 hours and counting

Gallons of gasoline consumed:  70

Things powered by generator:  Heat, water, lights, TV, radios.

Antenna damage: ZERO.  House damage ZERO. Tree damage: LOTS.

Number of CP&L broken restoration estimates:  4

Junk food consumed:  LOTS.  Particularly fond of Double Chocolate Chunk
cookies.

DVDs watched:  MANY.  Favorites:  ET, Star Wars Clones, Run Silent Run Deep

Welfare messages sent to family and on behalf of neighbors via NTS nets:  8

Messages delivered: 8, some within minutes of transmission.  Very nice!


Sorry to hear of damage suffered by some.  I guess we lucked out in that
regard.  Very little cleanup is needed here. One evergreen will need some
straightening and that's about it.  All we need is MORE POWER!
