I have just acquired a Kenwood TS 2000 transceiver and a Signalink interface and the problem is that I am intimidated by the TS 2000 and digital operation. If anyone has this set up, I would appreciate some tutoring on using the combination. I am older than the digital age by a long shot and that doesn't make the project any easier. HI! You have groups based on: 1. Digital software used, i.e., groups for MixW, Fldigi, HRD/DM780, etc. 2. Digital Interface used, i.e., Signallink, microHam, Rigblaster, etc. 3. Digital "mode", i.e., like this PSK31 group, Winlink, etc. 4. Rig used, i.e., the KenwoodTS-2000 group, the IC7000 group, etc. So depending on the question you may need more than one group to get the full picture. The PSK31 group see very little traffic as PSK31 is now an "old" mode supported by just about every digital program out. For the interface, you can also find lots of support information on the Signalink Web site: http://www.tigertronics.com/slusbts.htm http://www.tigertronics.com/slusbfaq.htm http://www.tigertronics.com/sl_suprt.htm I use Fldigi software just because the price is right, it is actively maintained with the development team adding features, the SDT (software development team) is very receptive to implementing suggestions for improvement, and it is the standard for my MARS region. I have also used HRD/DM780 and like it very much. This isn't to say there are not better programs available. I have setup and used Signalink USB interfaces with several installations but personally use a microHam USB Interface III for its superior ALE mode and built-in CAT support. Most of the "mode" groups were originally set up to share details of the protocol for software developers, or to set up QSO schedules. The rig groups are mostly for operational details of the rig. The TS-2000 has two groups, the "KenwoodTS-2000" group and the "adjust_TS2000" group (both on Yahoo groups). The latter is for alignment and service help. -----Original Message----- From: Psk31 [mailto:psk31-bounces at mailman.qth.net] On Behalf Of John King via Psk31 Sent: Tuesday, March 03, 2015 11:02 AM To: Discussion of Psk31 Subject: Re: [Psk31] PSK31 with a Signalink and a Kenwood TS 2000 Perry, where is the TS 2000 users group That specializes in digital stuff (PSK) and how do I join it?
