[Pro2006] OptoScan456 Dip switch settings

Bill,

I agree with Mark that Probe V7 would be the route to go. Check with Perry
at http://www.datafileinc.com/index.htm#Home . It's DOS based and is the
way to go. I need to resurrect my OS456 (x2), OS535, and an Optocom and get
them back online -- it has been quite a while.

RadioManager works also, but I don't know if Ben is still in business. A
quick look confirms this. http://www.bensware.com/ Some older ScanStar
http://www.scanstar.com/ programs supported the OS456 nicely, but I don't
know if they are still available either. A quick check, looks like some of
the newer programs support the OS456 also, but they are pricey. I found out
about the OS456 when I was purchasing some ScanStar software at Sam's house
and he was installing an OS456 into a Pro-2006.

Take care,
Scott

Hi Scott: Looks like you are the guy I need to communcate with too? What
software do you use and/or can recommend to utilize the OS456. I have it in
my second hand 2006, but have no idea how to implement it. Thanks. Bill
Tarkington.
