[Pro2006] Opto 456

I had some thoughts of this type once, when trying to decide if I should
make my own or buy an interface like the HB232 (now the CE232). The
deciding factor for me was my inability to decode the display driver / cpu
display data to make it a viable two-way interface. Getting data *into* the
radio with the usual button-pushing matrix and a little code is no problem -
but who knows how to get data *out*?

Oh, and there's got to be a better way to get data into memory - button
pushing is so slow...

Hi Guys.
Anyone had any thoughts of designing a replacement for the Opto and its
software or a even a new interface....
John.
