[Pro2006] Contemporary applications with a PRO2006

The recent flurry of activity on the list spurs a question.

I've got a nice 2006 w/Opto456 /Computer interface (yes, the old out of date obsolete stuff of
recent controversy)

Given the changes in computer technology since this set of hardware came out, what applications
are available for listening to contemporary communications stuff.  In other words, how are
people using this hardware these days?  What software is needed ... how well does it work, etc
etc.  I'd love to get this nearly new
set back in service these days.

Shareware MDT monitoring software would be a great start... :-)
