Another thing is the 456 boards will not work in the 2004, they always claimed
they would and its reflected in the name but when it came down to it they said
screw the 2004 people.
Another thing you gotta remember that the 456 will not program the scanner, it
take over from the CPU section.
Since opto screwed all us 2004.
I had done the memory mode in mine to 6,400 channels, keyboard memory controller
to control the 16 banks.
Then added the CE-232, also added the control to it to control the memory banks
and ever a signal meter.
Combine all this with the Pro-Turbo software and you have 1 kick ass scanner.
I got my 2004 about a year after it was released, only thing is wrong is the
backlight, I can replace it as I have some material to make one up for it but
why bother I never look at it, its stuck up high on a shelf, if I want to use it
I fire up Pro-Turbo and away it goes and with the favourite buttons I can have
the channel I want in no time.
