I use (2) 2045's and a 2006/OS456. All three are fed by a Stridsberg multicoupler and
Channel Master Antenna. I have found the 2045's to have better sensitivity on VHF LO
and UHF including MilAir. Both models are about equal on VHF Hi and the 2006 far
superior on 800 mhz. As for speed I'd say about the same. I do have the CTCSS option
on both 2045's which has paid for itself, as I have had a problem with a paging
transmitter on VHF. I also installed a PAR notch filter for the same paging system
which was well worth the cost. The 2006 is not affected by the paging problem. I use
the 2006/OS 456/Probe 7.0 mainly for searching and the 2045's for regular day - day
scanning
Hope this helps
