[Pro2006] Pro 2006 low battery indicator always on

I have a Pro 2006 with a constant �low battery�
indicator and beep.
Very annoying.
I have done the following:
Replaced the battery (several times) with tested fresh
alkalines
Replaced the battery clip
Pressed the re-set button (lost all programming)
multiple times
None of these steps has solved the problem.
Anybody have any other suggestions?
