Well the cable is made so you can run trunker and a otpo board equipped
scanner (or others) as the trunker putting your slicer and your scan receiver
on the same serial port, just using one port.. That was the intentional
reason for the computer cable but I soon found that when I wanted to leave
that setup and use Probe with the Opto board I had to switch cables so the
second part of the project was to find a single cable that would run both
setups. That is what I ended up with.
Doing great, he finished school there and is living in Oklahoma City now,
just got him moved in a couple of weeks ago.

Mike, don't stop posting because of that jerk. Just ignore him. I love to
read all I can and when I read your post about the modified cable I was
actually thinking about asking you to build one for me ;-) (I'd pay of
course) However I don't run Trunker simultaneously with probe so I don't
really need one at the moment.
Hope you and your son are doing OK. I haven't seen him in Dominick's
(Glendale Hts) since the day I met both of you last spring.
Oh well. Talk to you later.
