I've never had my 06 hooked to a computer but have a BC895XLT that shares an 
A/B switch box with a TenTec RX320 to the serial port of my PC. Once the new 
wore off I seldom ever used the 895 with the computer. Guess my feelings on 
this could change if I lived in a more scanner interesting area. Although the 
320 is HF only, you couldn't pry it out of my hands, I use it with Tom 
Lackamp's Scan320 software to scan hf utilities.
