I assume by back light, you refer to the Electro Luminescent Panel (ELP) 
that is positioned behind the LCD display.. Yes they can be ordered via the 
1-800-241-8742 ordering number for $29.89, plus tax and shipping..
Ordered one last month to have when mine gets a little dimmer than it is now...
