You might be the one who tipped me off about the closeout,  I did find 2 in 
the city of Tulsa. I bought one and the fellow at the Radio Shack took the 
other (he hadn't realized that they were on the close out list).
I did see on one of the usenet scanner groups the other day that one fellow 
had a 68 mph wind destroy his Scantenna. I would think that if it was mounted 
pretty good and no bigger than it is it should be able to handle more wind 
than that, I had a 4 element  CB beam antenna (Hornet) up with a  24 ft boom 
that survived a  wind close to 90 mph.
