Ted et al,

Several of you responded and thank you!  

I've learned that the trial version of ScanStar SE apparently does not
support input conversions DBF or XLS so copy and paste was the only way
to go.

I also noticed several anomalies with the C&P process, which included:

ScanStar SE crashing randomly during the editing phase. (Best bet is to
save often!)

Tried both hi-lighting the entire bank as well as hi-lighting the exact
number of channels within the NEW database scan bank in preparing for a
paste of records from the original .swg file.  Most of the time the
result was one record (the first) would be missing.  Another past was
required to move the missing item over.

So far, the scanning mode appears rock solid which is a plus.

Would any of you know how to determine the channel scan rate?  I would
like to be able to determine the effects of minor changes in option /
parameter selection vs. speed.  Next, does SSSE utilize the Pipe Line
mode? Finally is there any method of setting up one or more channels
with priority over other channels via one scanner operation.
