Maybe this will answer your questions...........
QSL.NET, with the later additions of QTH.NET and SWL.NET, have grown by
word of mouth to be the largest site devoted totally to Amateur Radio on
the Internet.

QSL.NET now receives over 1,000,000 hits per day and there are 69,000
individual and club web pages hosted on the system.

There are over one million emails handled daily for the 135,000 hams with
qsl.net email addresses.

QTH.NET is the host for more than 900 email reflector groups that are used
by 400,000 people.

This was, and still is, a hobby for Al, with much of the operating expense
coming out of his own pocket. A very small percentage of the users now
contribute to the annual budget of over $25,000.

If everyone that uses QSL / QTH .net would contribute $1.00, there would be
more than enough to fund everything. I personally contribute substantially
on a yearly basis. Also, when a call for funds goes out, I make an
additional donation. You will also notice a request for donations in the
signature of all my emails.

I just made a donation. Why don't you please send a few dollars to help out.

Also, can qth.net and/or our list administrators give any dollar amounts?
1. how much money is needed?
2. there are scores of lists on qth.net, how many are there, and how many
individual users?
3. can qth.net provide a per user fair contribution, based on the numbers from
items 1 & 2?
4. since only a fraction of the users would contribute financially to the
cause,
what is the recommended contribution from each user?\
5. are there any other options?
I value these email lists, because they provide lots of valuable
information
not available elsewhere, and they provide ways to connect with other hobbyists.
