[Premium-Rx] Best Receiver Choice + antenna importance

I concur with the importance of antennas. In addition to magnetic loops, I use a Steppir yagi (DB-18E) which allows me to tune 7-50 mHz continuously. Great to have gain and F/B on 19/25/31m! Being in Saudi Arabia, I would not be able to hear Brazilian stations otherwise. 

That said, the WJ HF-1000 with .10 firmware is hard to beat. Also enjoy the Winradio G33 Excalibur in addition to the Icom ICR-8600. 

These are fed via a Stridsberg multicoupler, allowing simultaneous reception and they all hear relatively equally. 

Bottom line. Buy a receiver that is current, as the others will soon require maintenance and parts/technicians are typically unavailable, given that they're older.
