Here's what I "know" about the firmware versions...
Around 2004 not sure if it was spring summer or fall, I bought an RX-340 serial no. 10087 firmware 110A. The previous owner that sold it to me included the older firmware modules with a note that they should be returned to Ten Tec so they could be updated. I did so. The in late August 2005, hurricane Katrina hit in this area. I was a part of an essential team that had to e at Keesler AFB in Biloxi, Ms. After three days I was allowed to go see if I still had a home...
I/we did and about 8 days later we had electricity. My wife and daughter had sheltered east of here at our son's home in Pensacola, Florida. After getting back home and the mess cleaned up from Katrina, tree limbs, roof shingles, etc. I decided to sell the RX-340. At that time I had a Ten Tec RX-350D which IMHO had a better sync detector and noise blanker.
It was sold to a friend of Mac McCullough in Texas along with the Hammond cabinet.
Several years passed by and I was able to acquire another Ten Tec RX-340 serial no. 10678. I immediately noticed several things that were different. The S-Meter was a blue backlite LED, the sync detector actually worked and locked on to frequencies and held and the noise blanker actually worked. There may have been other improvements, but I never thought of them. It was subsequently sold to a friend. During that period from about the mid 1990's to the late 2000's, I bought, sold and traded approximately 146 receivers, so some details are kind of blurry. I'm now 79 and have gotten rid of all but a Hammarlund HQ-180 and an Icom IC756Prolll.
I have googled and searched and have never found any information regarding the differences in the various firmware changes in the Ten Tec RX-340 receivers. As far as I know, Ten Tec doesn't service nor provide repair service in the RX-340'S.

Even "Duct Tape" can't fix stupid.
But, it can sure muffle it.

Based on one I owned a couple of years ago, serial no. 10678. Firmware V110B. There were slight improvements on the synchronous detection, noise blanker. But, I’ve never been able to document what the differences were between V110A and B.
