I'm helping two daughters with their father's estate and here's one item 
of interest:

Watkins-Johnson WJ-8617B-8. I tried it out and it works. Has a light 
green color front panel that was specified by the customer. (Picture on 
request.

This is revision 3 of this model which modified it to work the ISB 
option.  This baby is loaded with options: 10IF, BITE, M/S, PKC, SM, 
VBFO, 488, VLF, Offset and a special WBO (8 MHz wide at 10.7 MHz).

The VLF option modifies the receiver to tune 10 kHz to 500 MHz.

The ten IFs are 3.2, 10, 20, 50, 200, 400, 800, 1200, 1600 & 3200 kHz.

The Offset option is very rare. It allows the receiver to work with an 
external downconverter and changes the frequency display to adjust for 
the conversion. The documentation says the offset can be programmed from 
the front panel.  It is currently set to 1 GHz.

The rumor mill used to say this color was "spare green" but customers 
sometimes specified colors like green, tan and peacock blue, all of 
which are very rare. Other records show some of the green radios were 
purchased by Sylvania. I have no record of the original customer for 
this radio but the project name, which means nothing to me at the 
moment, was Feldspar.
