[Premium-Rx] Micro-Controller for McKay Dymek DR-333 - Who does use one?

Dear List Members,

I own a McKay Dymek DR-333 receiver, collecting dust on the shelf.

I think about to use it again but not by controlling it by a PC but by a micro controller like an Arduino. It is my intention, to make a small remote control head with an LCD-display, a rotary encoder and a few push buttons.

Maybe I do not need to "reinvent the wheel" as somebody already does it this way.

Please tell me, how you do it, if you do not use a PC to control the DR-333.
