Hello,
happy New Year to all.
At an estate I came accross an ASCOM DTTG 95 which appears to be an universal Data Demodulator/Analyzer. It is in pristine condition and looks never used.
It is housed in a 19“ desktop cabinet 3 units high and made by the Swiss company ASCOM. Date codes on integrated circuits are from the early 90s.
The DTTG 95 has a yellow 5“ diagonal dot matrix graphic display (about 400x300 dots) on the left and 6 softkeys next to it.
Generally it can be set to AUTO or HAND (manual mode)
Modes: F1B, F1C, F7B1, F7B2
It has two inputs which can be switched to either 50 Ohms or 1.2 kOhms
Input level can be set in 6 steps between 10uV-10mV and 3mV-3V
Input frequency is selectable in fixed steps 10 kHz, 12.5 kHz, 13 kHz, 30 kHz and at a variable frequency between 10 kHz and 30 kHz in 500 Hz steps
There are two outputs which can be selected TTL A, TTL B, V24 A, V24 B, Ton A, Ton B (Ton = tone)
Ton is 1000 Hz and level is 0dB
Output can be switched Active or Inverse
Baud rate can be switched in 15 steps between 0-50 baud, 50-75 baud, 75-100 baud, ... up to 4800-6400 baud
Shift can be switched in 56 steps between 10 Hz and 12 kHz
Offset is variable in 10 Hz steps between -6000 Hz to +6000 Hz
All variable input parameter are set by a large tuning knob driving an encoder.
Front panel has a couple similarities with the AEG PSG 1800 panadapter.
Anybody ever used an ASCOM DTTG 95 and might a manual for it?
I don’t know what to do with it. I can probably try to connect it to my AEG Telefunken receivers E 1800/3 or E 1800A which have the optional FU 1800 module installed.
The FU 1800 Frequenzumsetzer module outputs the received signal either at fixed 30 kHz or variable between 10 kHz and 30 kHz in 500 Hz steps.
