I have just received this very beautiful book “ The Clandestine Radio Operatos” recounting the whole history of underground radio in France in 1940, written by a French resistance man 

- magnificent stories of heroes, all volunteers, parachuted into France, a very large number of whom died after being discovered by the guestapo 
- some poignant testimonies of survivors, including a lot of incredibly courageous women! 
- description of the parachuting modes, the coding of the messages, the networks set up, the detection modes by direction finding used by the Germans 
- numerous archive photos showing the operators in action as well as detailed photos of all the radio equipment used 

I loved reading it ... you literally find yourself in the shoes of these heroes and in the atmosphere of the resistance
