Hi All,
Just a quick one, probably not exactly on topic for Prem Rx, so I
apologise before asking.
I've just acquired an Ettus research USRP B100, for a reasonable price,
but unfortunately didn't do much research into it before purchase.
I did not realise that the unit has interchangeable RF daughterboards,
and mine arrived fitted with the SBX board 400Mhz - 4.4Ghz Rx / Tx.
This isn't a great deal of use to me, as it only covers part of the 70cm
ham band, and some PMR in the UK.
I'd like to use the receiver for either HF, or VHF / UHF airband.
So I really need a WBX card, to give coverage from 50Mhz to 2.2Ghz, and
an LFRX (0 - 30Mhz), or Basic Rx (1-250Mhz) module for HF.
The LFRX and Basic Rx boards seem to be a reasonable price (£77) but the
WBX card is three times what I paid for the unit.
So I'm wondering if anyone out there in Prem Rx land has a WBX board
that they would like to trade for my SBX They retail at pretty much the
same price, so a straight swap seems fair, although I'd be happy to put
in a bit of cash if it would help.
Other than that does anyone have a WBX board for sale at a reasonable
price, the B100 is getting a bit long in the tooth now to justify
spending much money on, but hopefully someone out there may have one
knocking about.
Cheers,
Dave. S.
