Done, I've found the battery. Replacing the battery on an EK085 is quite a crazy task. I attach some pictures for the record, it is the rear of the receiver - PS module. The old battery reads 6mV.Advices: Have a new battery on hand before starting the job. I don't have one, and I could forget the reverse procedure until the battery arrives. Use separate containers for the various sets of screws. Take note of the polarity, as there is no indication on the pcboard.Antonio I8IOV

Dear Raymond, thank you very much for your reply. This is not the case for the Rohde & Schwarz EK085 receiver. My version of the manual says that the battery is inside the power supply module, and describes the procedure for accessing the module, but the procedure is quite obscure. In the lack of any useful info I think I will begin to unscrew screws here and there until I get access to the power supply module. I would have avoided this.Regards,Antonio I8IOV

 Dear Antonio,

I don't own an EK085, but usually the memory backup battery is on the
printed circuit board of the computer module.

With best regards,

Raymond
