[Premium-Rx] Longwave Receiver Recommendations?

The VLF/LF receiver was one of the Drumgrange series.

They were part of a system purchase of 40 and 100 kW VLF transmitters with associated drive units
from Babcock International.

The key component in a submarine VLF installation is the very low-noise receiving antenna.
A lot of effort goes into "cleaning up" the insides of a submarine with respect to EMC.

If I had to guess I would say that the British vlf/lf receiver was a 
Redifon R800. Works well but ergonomically horrrid. And full of small 
red tantalum bead capacitors which are at just the right age to 
self-destruct.

Skanti R5001  is a nice one to use and I keep 2 Eddystone EC958 (one 
rebadged as Marconi 'Nebula') receivers around for a reason (not just 
because they look great)!
