[Premium-Rx] Longwave Receivers

Dear All,

Being ignorant about longwave reception, I became curious after 
seeing recent email messages on Premium Rx. Here are some typical questions.

(a) What is considered LW?

mentioned that current terminology is rather loose.

(b) What is special about LW (technically and current user communities)?

(c) One would expect that for such low frequencies the technology is 
"easy", but the specific questions about "best Rx for LW" suggest 
otherwise. How?

(d) What about "best antennas"?

More questions may arise later. I would be grateful for any clarifications.
