Hi Ed,
Of all those wonderful receivers I have just tried the Drake RR3 (which I still have) and the Hagenuk R1001 non-M, older model, which unfortunately I don’t have anymore. The RR3 would win hands down.
My favourite receivers for LW would be my R&S EK070, SRT CR91 and Skanti R8003.
What are you planning to use for an antenna? I have had very good results on LW with a mini whip and an active loop.
Good luck my friend, nice project!
Stay safe, and 73

I have high hopes for this, as I put up a couple of antennas that are quite suitable for LW. I am also in the Middle East and hope to hear some Europeans and N African stations, plus NDBs.
