I wish to thank all who have helped me with manuals and schematics for
repairing the R-155 receiver. I have now found and printed out the
schematics for almost but not all of everything I need. The receiver
shows considerable signs of life, the local oscillator seems to be
working and locking up to the control drawer, the IF section is working
when a signal is injected. Still, I can't receive a signal. The final
schematics I need are for the RF translator module. That is the large
drawer with the vernier tuning dial on front. The schematics I have
cover everything else in the drawer except the row of modules that
extend across the front of the drawer, just behind the front panel. I am
fairly sure the signal is getting lost somewhere in this chain of
mixers and oscillators. If anyone can help me with these final
schematics I should be able to get the receiver working. I will be happy
to send photos of the modules and their markings if needed. Thanks
again to everyone for their time and help.
