[Premium-Rx] RA6790/GM IF filters

I have a whole set of Blue Collins CF solder in mechanical filters (6.0 KHz
Sym, 3.20 KHz Sym, 1.0 KHz SYM, 300 Hz Sym and the 2.95 KHz LSB and USB
filters. These filters are common to the Harris RF-590, Racal 6790, 6793A
and 1792 radios.

My RACAL RA6790/GM has only five plug-in crystal filters installed (16 KHz
Sym, 6.8 KHz Sym, 3.24 KHz Sym, 1.2 KHz Sym and 400 KHz Sym) I have the
correct values for the silver mica input and output capacitors for the
Collins filters and it appears the 6790/GM board has outlines and holes for
both filter types along with pads for input and output caps.

To make a long story short, can I mix crystal filters with mechanical
filters in the RA6790/GM providing I install the appropriate  input/output
caps for the Collins LSB and USB filters and run BITE to recognize the new
filter bandwiths.
