I received a reply form Christophe Bourrier in France and his EPROM that
allows many tuning speeds and five bandwidths (12 kHz, even when the Aux
position has a filter installed) is still available for €49.09 + €15
shipping to the US.
I wrote him with some questions and will be ordering one soon. It is
not a plug and play option. It requires some desoldering and soldering
inside the radio. For me the two really slow main tuning dial speeds
are one of the main drawbacks of this radio.
