Hi Nick,
Glad to here you got that set playing. I'm always amazed how assembly
errors like that can linger for decades, and jump out an bite you in the
butt. I'm also impressed by the reliability of these things. I'm
guessing it's 40 years old.
You inspired me to pull mine off the shelf, and hook it up. I'm
listening to the gang on 3885 as I type. I need to figure out exactly
what this is. It has the green vacuum-florescent displays, FM detector,
and appears to have the remote option.
An amazing radio for 1971. Of course, the same money would have bought
a Porsche 911-S.
