Sadly, no.  The best (IMO) of the competing systems (Kahn-Hazeltine) 
used ISB modulation, but during the "fight-it-out" phase, when a station 
could choose any of the four systems, Motorola C-QUAM ("Compatible 
QUadrature AM") became the de facto US standard (ratified by the FCC in 
1993).

Good luck finding an AM stereo station in the US today.  Last I knew, 
WLS (890 Chicago) was still broadcasting in C-QUAM stereo.  But in 
reality, AM stereo faded into oblivion in the US before it ever gained 
much of a following.
