Hi All,
Just thought I'd ask again, you never know.....
Last weekend I acquired some spare modules for my faulty Marconi H2550
receiver.
I know the Synth, RF and Audio modules are faulty, in the Rx as it
stands, the RF and Audio modules "sort of" work, but give BITE errors,
the Synth is totally dead.
I haven't had chance to check out my new stash of modules yet, but I'm
hoping I have enough spares to get the faulty receiver up and running (I
brought a job lot, mainly H2551 exciter modules, but hopefully enough
common parts to fix the H2550)
I'm still looking for any info on these receivers, ideally a service
manual, but would settle for a block diagram drawn on a beer mat.....
Their seems to be nothing about them on the net, and I seem to have the
only two in the UK (some were sold at auction in Australia).
I have one complete working receiver, and can test individual modules in
this unit, so at least have the luxury of being able to locate the fault
to module level. I've found a few short circuit Tants (no surprise there
then....), in the past, but the capacitors in the failed modules check
out OK.
I'd like to get the second receiver up and running, but depending on
what modules I end up with that work, may convert it into a H2551
exciter, either way any info on either the H2550, or H2551 would be much
appreciated as they share 80% of the same parts.
Thanks again in advance,
Dave.S.
