1) S/N 11253
2) 200 memories
3) No perceived bouncing. The buttons are crisp and respond instantly.
I have not use it much since purchased from Ten Tec in 2012.
My only gripe is the behavior of the step size buttons. They
work opposite to what I feel should be the case. I have another video
depicting this behavior. Seems that owners that use it a lot have
gotten accustomed to it.
4) No noisy knobs. As you know the knobs themselves are a bit cheap.
So I have replaced them with knobs from a defunct Techtronix scope
after a few times operating the radio. The original knobs are in the box.
Also included is a higher resolution User Manual. Got the pdf from Ten Tec
and had it printed locally. Shame for a high end radio to come with a
mediocore printed manual. Meaning, it looks like a copy of a copy,
terrible.
All with the original boxes and stuff, including the invoice for what its worth.
The radio been sitting in rack all this time. Not a mark on it. Have used it
sparingly with my Jupiter/IC-7700 as a second receiver. Not my cup of tea,
two tuning knob is a bit much to keep on track of.
Oringially the intent was to have a so call 500W rack station. I achieved that
with my Hercules II, the Jupiter and RX-340. Unfortunately, does not work
for my simple style of operating, so been sitting here.
The Hercules II is another listing.
I would keep the receiver as a heirloom, although I don’t see anyone
in my family wanting or capable of using any radio any more.
If it isn’t satellite radio or any of those fancy music services, they are
not interested. So… scaling down as they say..
Thanks for your interest.
