Hello all rx addicts:

Been a long time since you have heard from me here.  I have retired from Corporate America and am in the midst of health issues and have decided to let some gems go.

I am offering and EK896 (Model .14) in beautiful and absolutely as new cosmetic condition. It has the latest firmware available from R&S.

Options installed are OCXO Reference Frequency Standard. 455kHz IF Converter, the ultra rare and very expensive Digital Tracking Preselector and Quasicontinuous Bandwith Selection.

It also has the very desirable .03 IF/AF Processor fitted and comes with the full English Operational Manual, all Service manuals, and last but far from least, a new in the box R&S Service Kit--with extender board, adapters, the lot.

The Service Kit is absolutely unobtanium, R&S does not offer anymore.

The rig passes BITE and CM, Continuous Monitoring tests.  The LCD is perfect.  The radio is essentially new, having been in a remote monitoring installation all its life--hence zero operator wear.

It has been in my collection, and due to health issues, I have put no hours on it, so it is as I got it---new.  This setup retailed from R&S for close to $30K dollars.  It is unheard of on the market.  It is the only one I have seen in my 40 years of HF radio.

Asking price is $4950 dollars. No offers, paypal ok, but add 3 percent, prefer bank transfer.  Will ship worldwide at cost. There will be around 5 ring binders, the service kit, and the radio.
