[Premium-Rx] Comparison question

To all who may own both an Icom R-9000 and a Cubic 3030 (or similar Cubic) I have a question.

Using the same antenna/coax, and both receivers sitting right next to each other, the Cubic blows the R-9000 out of the park with regards to sensitivity on the AM broadcast band.

Cubic hears a station at -60 on the bar graph.
Icom meter does not even wiggle, and better than 50% noise.

Is my Icom sick, or is this the ‘proof in the pudding’ of a million dollar R&D project?
