[Premium-Rx] Tentec 340 and WJ8711 comparison

I just wanted to add a few of my personal comments concerning these two Great Radios. Several years ago I have had both of them on the bench at the same time and they perform almost identically. I was really pushing the test equipment to the limits to measure internal noise and the Watkins Johnson may have a very slight Edge over the Tentec. But I think anyone would be hard-pressed to arrive at that just by listening. With both of them the MDS is so great that I think it's just a matter of the ergonomics and the choice of which one you like better. In subjective testing just by using both radios on a Nintendo switch at the same time I kind of preferred the 8711 only because of its layout. But now with parts so hard to obtain or maybe even impossible I would have to give my vote to the Tentec. I sold the WJ some time ago and I still have my 340. It was a painful decision but life goes on and I'm Not Looking Back... Well sometimes I do. Anyhow those are just my personal comments please don't be offended either wayGood signals to all Bob N1kpr
