I've got a feeling, and don't quote me on this but my 8940B covers quite
a bit higher than the normal 1Ghz, and possibly lower than 1Khz too,
although I'm not sure it goes up to 12.4Ghz
It has some very expensive extender units manufactured using all sorts
of clever technology that I'm not overly familiar with (YIG Oscillators,
and all sorts of wave guides Etc), which the seller told me were
extremely rare and not supposed to be released to the public Etc.....
I've not had time to play with these either, as as stand alone units
they are not a great deal of use.
My initial job will be to get the basic system running, but it is far
from that way at present.....
It came out of storage after many, many years of disuse and requires a
lot of TLC to get it even close to operation.
If I get chance over the weekend I'll try and locate the part number for
all of the system modules, this may provide a clue as to it's
capabilities when it was operational.
Cheers,
Dave.S.
