The lower freq limit is determined by the first section ofthe input bandpass filter, and the firmware ver. that allows itto tune below 20.The first filter on standard sets is 20-40 MHz. HFE sets use 2-40 MHz. LFE sets replace the first section with a 0.1uF Cap.The FE to 1100 MHz has no effect, and is switched out below500 MHz.

1. I own an WJ-8618B-(S1) which has the UHF module installed. I'm
wondering if it's a relatively simple task to remove that module so the unit
will again operate below 20mHz. Any thoughts or suggestions are
appreciated.
2. Does anyone know how I can reach Steve Pappin?
