The National Academy of Engineering published my short bio of WJ 
co-founder Dick Johnson in the 20th edition of their Memorial Tributes 
series.

under his full name Horace Richard Johnson.

Dick Johnson was a long time ham K6BZA (ex W2SZX).  When I interviewed 
him he had only a WJ-8711 receiver in his study.
