[Premium-Rx] Question re WJ 8718A/MFP RF GAIN

Hi Dan:
I had the very same problem in one of my WJ-8718A/MFP's and after various attempts I finally succeeded in fixing it.
Remove the 796056-1 card (Front Panel Encode) from the 794310-x small front MB (Front Panel Switch/Encode MFP-A1) first, in doing so please pay attention also to the Ground connection in the rear of the card.
Then clean all the contacts in the bottom of the same and in the two 794310-x MB sockets carefull (some drops of DeOxit-5 will help), reinsert the card and verify that all the contacts between the card and its small 794310-x MB are secure (in particular the ones of the left socket).
Repeat the procedure if necessary and check also if finger pressing the 796056-1 card from the top left side produces any positive effect on the contacts and on the proper operation of the RF Gain control (with the MGC button pressed, obviously).
In one of my units the problem was due to one or more loose card contacts and I fixed it through the above procedure.
Now the RF Gain control of that unit is operative again, hope the same happens to yours.
