I think we're seeing a pattern here! Didn't see your earlier post until I'd
sent mine.
Cleaning up the PSU board and replacing the electrolytics is probably
worthwhile regardless of whether there's a fault. The parts are easy to
find and don't cost much, and it's an easy job.
I suspect there was some collateral damage in the Rx with the PSU that went
bang, as there were several other faults, all in the RF module. All except
one were consistent with a power rail surge (normally robust active devices
not in the signal path were dead for no apparent reason).
