I fully agree, and the T4XB also has one 6HS6, which could be subbed by a 6AH6 to be used in the R4B i necessary

Hello David,

At 1/10 the price, I think the 6AH6 ( a.k.a. 6475) is a good
alternative. Any performance differences caused by a 5% shortfall in
transconductance is going to be extremely subtle.

I'd use the 6HS6 as V2, the mixer, the one directly in the signal path,
and the substitute as V8, the pre-mixer.
