[Premium-Rx] PRS-2280 EPROMS.

Hi All,
Does anyone out there in premium Rx land have a Plessey PRS2280 receiver
that they can copy the contents of the two EPROM's in the control module
from for me?
I ask because, I recently repaired some modules from a PRS2282A for a
guy in the USA, his receiver has a front panel that says it is a
PRS2282A, and as far as I know the twin D modules, which also indicate a
/A model. However his front panel does not have a BFO lock button which
all of my 2282A's do have, which is a little strange.
The upshot of this is that one of the faults in the modules he sent me
was that one of the control EPROM's had lost it's contents. At the time
I thought this was not much of an issue, as I have numerous 2282A's, so
simply blew some new EPROMS with the code taken from one of them, tested
the repaired controller in one of my receivers which worked fine, and
returned the modules across the pond.
The problem is that the controller with my "standard" 2282A EPROM's
installed does not seem to like the US guys "2282A", with strange things
happening, mostly related to the BFO lock, with the BFO being on when it
shouldn't be, and all sorts of weird interplay between the BFO and the
mode / tuning.
I'd like to try some standard 2280 firmware in the controller, in place
of my 2282A firmware, but I don't have a 2280 to copy the code from. So
to that end am a little stumped.
Does anyone have either the firmware from a 2280, or a 2280 H module
that I can borrow, to copy the contents from, so that I can blow some
EPROMS to ship state side. The alternative appears to be shipping the
entire Rx from the US to me to try and convert it into a "standard"
PRS2282A which will work with my normal firmware. This will be expensive
and also not necessarily desirable, as the guy just wants his original
receiver to operate as it used to.
The alternative question to all of this is does anyone out there have a
clue why their appear to be two distinct types of PRS2282A's out there
which are not interchangeable Etc, and if so can they fill me in /
provide the correct firmware for the US unit.....
I don't have access to the unit in the states, at present it's still
over there, so it will take a while to respond to any specific queries
about it as I will have to forward the questions on and await a reply.
Thanks again in advance for any help provided,
Dave.S.
