[Premium-Rx] FS: WJ-8617B-17 and WJ-340-A2

Forced retirement has forced my hand and I must part with my two most 
cherished premium receivers.

Both of these receivers were used at a company called ARC many years 
ago.  I have been their owner for well over 25 years other than ARC.

First some information on the WJ-8617B-17......up until 3 months ago I 
used it on a regular bases and it worked like a gem.  It was my HF to 1 
GHz receiver.  The pan display tube is still bright and sharp and the 
receiver was stable and sensitive.  Then one day I turned it on, the 
display lit up ok, and then I am guessing a capacitor developed a short 
and I could smell the magic escaping into the air.  The receiver has not 
been powered up since and I simply do not have the time to track down 
and replace the required caps that have shorted out.  It is in clean 
condition, no dust or dirt inside but a few of the 1/4-turn lid screws 
are stripped and will need replacement.

The receiver has handles but the sides of the rack mounts have been cut 
flush off since it was not used in a rack and there are rubber feet on 
the bottom to elevate the radio off the table surface to allow air 
flow.  Asking $600 OBO plus S/I.  It is _very_ heavy and will be double 
boxed and well packed.  It will take me a couple days to find the proper 
boxes to properly ship this radio.

The WJ-340-A2 works fine and is in stock condition as far as I can 
tell.  I use it all the time to listen to VLF with a small loop.  I am 
asking $500 OBO plus S/I.  It is heavy, but not nearly as heavy as the 
8617B-17, but it too will need to be double boxed and it will take me a 
few days to find the proper boxes and packing.  If you do purchase one 
or both understand it will take a little time for me to properly pack 
them up.

from me via other groups and know I am on the level and do a very good 
job packing.

Also, please note that my ISP (mediacom) has been acting up lately and 
while I am able to receive everyone's e-mail 100% fine, some people are 
not getting my e-mails.

ISP THAT IS AT FAULT AND KNOW THAT I DID TRY TO REPLY TO YOU.

Please include several e-mail addresses that you may have and I can try 
them all......many times I have found that one address will not work 
while another one for the same person will work fine.  Also, if you 
like, add your phone number and I will be happy to communicate via the 
phone.  I absolutely hate having to give up my two beauties but my 
TEMPEST career is over prematurely and I must sell these two to generate 
income.  Both are being sold as-is, with no warranties of any kind.  All

and you can see what modes and options each receiver has.  I can accept 
payment via a certified Bank Money Order or USPS Money Order.  There has 
been too many scams going on with Paypal of late.
