WJ-8700 sn 100 Summary - I'm providing full disclosure on this radio and
waiting to hear back from the supplier. I want to find out if they will
accept offers. Right now I have two people interested. If you want to make
an offer let me know. I will forward your offer to the supplier.

1) WJ-8700 sn 100 is not servicable. It has several issues that make it
completely unusable as-is:
a. Custom front panel firmware for NON FP unit
b. Jumpered for remote only / polling for token prior to boot
c. A4 digital option card missing, radio polling for option, purpose
unknown, not in the manual
d. Custom FP firmware installed VER 1.31. For normal front panel operation
firmware required is FP VER 1.1 and uP VER 0.08

The radio is in 99% cosmetic condition. My feeling is that parts might have
been swapped / removed / altered. If you have access to a working organ
donor / ugly working radio, this might be a great project radio. It is for
an individual with advanced technical skills. The manual is on the FTP site.

Best Regards,
Steve

>OK. The DC voltages are correct. The front panel displays the
