According to the service manual, it is a VM108, which is a 50v, 1A
bridge rectifier in a DIP package made by an obscure and
long-forgotten company. Looking at it from the top, with the dot up,
Pin 1 (upper left) is the + output, Pin 3 (lower left) is the -
output, and Pins 4 (lower right) and 6 (upper right) are the AC input.

The Fairchild DF005M (also supplied by Diodes, Inc., both available
from Mouser) appears to be pin-compattible. (If it failed, you might
want to consider the 1kV version, DF10M, or the 400v version, DF04M,
also available from Mouser.)

Or, replace it with four, 1N400x diodes. IME, diode bridges in DIP
packages seem prone to failure, so I'd use 4x 1N400x, myself.

I'll try attaching a drawing, but I think the list server will strip it.

Best regards,

Charles
