Hello Tom and All Others, except somebody wife's...

Really surprised what wives doing here???....

Tom, Silicone Spay has nothing common with Silicone Dioxid...
That is special oil very widely used, buy one can in autoshop, read instruction and you will see...Usefull for electronic/electrycity equipment  and many others aplication.

From my own experience it very nice for restoring old equipment too:

If anybody has some old receivers with black painted front panel, but dust/dirth there and looking bad and blearly, sray it Silicon Spray, then wipe out with soft  cloth and you will be very surprised how well it will work...

Recently doing so with my WJ-8618A, Nice! Paint became very fresh almost like new! Silicone Spay oil impregnated in paint layer  (doing the same with rubber and some other materials)

Bad things happened with me when i was restored Marconi 2019 Signal Generator, nice instrument, and use some chemical's to remove the dirt from front panel...It was stupid mistake...I'm feeling  very bad- new panel unpossible to find in my land! But with Sylicon Spray i had escape from that bad situation and almost bring front panel back to normal...

In this days very big choise for grease/oil and other products...that is MoS2 Molibdenum based oil (superb), Contact Treatment Oil, and old one- Oil from hight voltage condenser,
nice quality also...Possible to use if you have nothing at all...

Today minus 20 degrees C in my rural area, all lock's in the house, in the car sprayed specially before and now no problem to unlock them...If not do so in time, no possible to unlock them... They all badly became freezing...That is normal life for us...So one more way to use that nice can of Sylicon Spray...If car door freezing you use it too...

Happy life for all,

B.R.
