Hi Paul,

Many thanks for letting us know, and of course many thanks also to Fred and
 all his contributors.

I'd assumed there wouldn't be another edition after all, at least not
whilst I was still around, but there goes another dent in my pocket money:-)

Regards

Congratulations and a BIG THANK YOU to our friend Fred Osterman on the new
& enlarged 4th edition of the definitive book on premium shortwave
receivers. It will be available starting September 16, 2014. Here is the
information:

By Fred Osterman.
Here is your comprehensive guide to over 1700 shortwave, amateur and
commercial communications receivers (plus 1200 variants) manufactured produced
in the last 70 years. With 1800 photos and information including: coverage,
circuit type, display, features, performance, new & used values (for
most), reviews, etc. Over 360 domestic and international manufacturers are
represented. Become an instant receiver expert. Fourth Edition. ©2014 Hard
bound 800 pages.

Additional information may be found on the Universal Radio website, and
orders may be placed here:

The date on my first edition is 1987, so this effort has taken 27 years
and has grown from 104 stapled pages to the new edition’s 800 hardbound
pages! It takes a huge investment in time and money to make a publication like
this happen, so please show your support and order one today! Better yet,
do what I did and order two…

May your next radio find be “Typically Unavailable!"
