Good evening to all -

I just wanted to post a short message to express my appreciation and
gratitude to all concerning this topic. My sincere thanks to members that
posted on this forum and many others that contacted me via email with
advise, links, ideas, etc. concerning replacement LCD displays for these
receivers. The paper written on this subject by the late Geoff Greer was
invaluable and is noted by George Michael in his reply on this forum. A
single resistor, a couple wiring changes on the front panel, and a certain
$20.00 LCD display readily available from any number of well known
electronics parts suppliers - and -  voila. A new, bright display that
brings those receivers back to life. I have taken the time to individually
thank each and every person that contacted me but I wish to thank everyone
publically, too.  Best regards to all.
