[Premium-Rx] Rhode & Schwarz EK07 Value?

Hello the list...
Anyone have a way of establishing a value for a R&S EK07 for insurance purposes?
My insurance company decided that a suitable replacement would be a Uniden scanner and then depreciated the  value of the Uniden!!!!!!
  Have taken it out of the cabinet, measuring about 2.8 ohms across the AC line, line filter checks out OK, I even put line voltage across the filter and nothing breaks down. I am starting to worry that the power transformer primary has shorted turns - though this is perplexing since the receiver was switched off when the power surge hit.
