Perhaps off topic here, but the receive half certainly qualifies.  I 
have one of these late model transceivers which I acquired with a number 
of faults, now reduced to one last stubborn one that I'd welcome advice 
on if anyone has any relevant experience.

This is the 125 Watt version with ALE and external power supply. Simply 
the DSP section in the back end fails to initiate from time to time on 
power on.  It used to be once in a while, but now happens more often 
than not.  I'm not sure what in the start up / not reset process could 
cause this but would welcome any suggestions as to where to start 
looking. The control board does seem to send the not reset signal at the 
right time, as far as I can tell.
